Wadding expertise for bedding products
Since 1987, the Peg team has been deploying its know-how in the world of bedding: its insulating, lightweight and resistant fibers make up comforters, pillows, bolsters and mattress toppers. In our Normandy factory in Varneville Breteville (76), thousands of comfortable bedding products are manufactured every day.
Our expertise
It all happens in our Normandy factory. It only takes a few minutes to make a comforter: we receive bales of polyester fibers, which are ground and brushed to form a very fine sheet.
Obtaining this soft, pleasant, harmless, insulating and resistant polyester sheet is the heart of Peg's expertise.
These layers are then superimposed to form the filling of the comforter. These layers are then enveloped in fabric: this will be your comforter's envelope.
One of our trimmers then sews a bias to close the comforter.
The comforter is then folded and packaged for shipment.
The pillows are blown in their envelopes. This blown-fiber manufacturing technique adds even more softness and plumpness to the pillow.

With decades of experience in meeting our customers' precise specifications, we decided to create our own bedding brand.
Colas, an old name from our region that's close to our hearts & "Normand", a Viking drakkar: that's our brand of Colas Normand comforters, mattress toppers and pillows. Products sold in supermarkets, specialty stores and on our website colasnormand.fr
So, like the fashion industry, we follow the seasons to create Spring Summer and Autumn Winter collections.
We work closely with textile partners to unearth new technologies and innovative materials... or sometimes very old ones. Like Merino wool, a very noble material, warm but also breathable and thermoregulating, which we now use in some of our warm comforters. Combined with polyester fiber, it provides a high-quality filling.
